Â
He’s created Bieber mania much to the extent that boy bands did in the ’90s, and it’s obvious that even with some vocal changes the young Canadian star isn’t going anywhere soon. At just 16 years old, Justin Bieber has got the sweet natured looks, top vocal capacity, a good-boy thug style and a strong label that has helped spread his R&B tunes like wildfire on the charts and live stadium performances.
The Bieber crowds have gone so crazy, in fact, that a recent Australia performance scheduled for late April was cancelled after fans became violent with the young star. Local reports revealed that the pop singer sustained only minor injuries after fans pushed and shoved hours before he was set to perform on the Sydney Harbor. The free show welcomed over 4,000 fans, many of whom camped out the night before to catch just three songs that Bieber was scheduled to perform.
With a debut album and a swagger that will only get better with time, he is certainly appealing to the teenage masses. Â <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/justin-bieber-tickets/”>Justin Bieber tickets</a> will continue to be available on http://www.stubhub.com. His tickets are sure to sell well as his summer tour kicks off at the end of June, so don’t wait to purchase them!
Bieber’s first solo tour, dubbed My World, will support the teen’s debut album on Island/Def Jam Records. Jumping full swing into superstardom, the young star was previously a YouTube star who has had little training in his few years and yet managed to get the attention of R&B/ pop stars from all over â as Usher picked up the Canadian, along with L.A. Reid, for a record deal when he was 15.
The single “One Time” was released a year ago and was quickly promoted with a music video starring Usher. The international platinum release helped spawn his debut EP My World, a set that included just seven songs but sold a million copies and counting. My World went on to top the record charts, and as a 16th birthday present Bieber splurged on a Range Rover for himself.
Gearing up for his first summer tour â after all, he’s only been in the record making business for a few months â Bieber is pulling out some “magic tricks,” he said in a late April issue of Rolling Stone. “All of a sudden, I’ll just appear out of the blue. And I want booms and stuff. I love explosions,” he continues.
Influenced by old school R&B acts like Boyz II Men and taught by the drum sets at church, Bieber claimed he was “kind of a bedroom singer. I didn’t sing in public until I was 12.” But eventually he moved out of his comfort zone, learning to play some classic rock and sing on the street for cash. The big spender even took his mother on vacation to Disneyland after cashing in at 200 bucks a day.
Bieber’s 10-disc “sophomore release,” or rather an extension of the seven-disc EP of the same name, appeared just four months after sheer Bieber phenomenon stuck. The top seller features 10 tracks that were all new to Bieber fans, like the latest Sean Kingston single “Eenie Meenie.” Even with the quick EP release, singles from the official debut like “One Less Lonely Girl” and “One Time” are still radio staples, and extend Bieber’s numbers along with My World 2.0 mixes “Baby” and “Somebody to Love.”

The Widespread Appeal of the Opera Singer
It has always been the case that the vocal power and presence of the opera singer almost invariably surpassed that of the more mainstream entertainer. Everybody has heard of Pavarotti, and few would compare the rock or pop artist favourably with the late, great tenor when it comes to pure singing ability. One or two, such as the excellent Freddie Mercury, made a tentative attempt to bridge the two, but few others would even dare to try.
